Waiting for the 2nd of June

May 31, 2025 - Ternate

In anticipation of Republic Day, on Saturday, May 31st at 9:00 PM, in Piazza Libertà in Ternate, a concert will be held by the Fanfara dei Bersaglieri “N. Tramonti – M. Crosta” from Lonate Pozzolo. The event is organized by the Trinate Nova association, under the patronage of the Municipality of Ternate, with the support of A. Volta Primary SchoolBongiasca Kindergarten, and the Parents’ Committee. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the parish church.

The Tramonti-Crosta Fanfare, founded in 1967, is named after Nino Tramonti, a colonel of the Bersaglieri, and Mario Crosta, a renowned Bersagliere and entrepreneur from Busto Arsizio. The ensemble is known as the “Globe-trotting Fanfare” for having represented Italy in numerous international events, parades, military tattoos, and concerts, as well as regularly taking part in national gatherings. Their musical repertoire ranges from traditional Bersaglieri music to masterpieces of classical and modern music.

A musical event of great historical and cultural significance to celebrate Republic Day.

For 45 years, the Fanfare was led by Maestro and Knight Officer Carlo Cortellezzi, while today it is conducted by Tiziano Giaretta, Chief Bersaglieri Bandmaster, who passionately upholds the discipline and martial demeanor that have set a standard for many Italian fanfares. The history and significance of the Fanfare are shared by the section’s president, Gianclaudio Ruggeri, and vice president, Giuseppe Galletta.
